SUMMARY:Katharine Hayhoe: "Saving Us" Book Discussion + Q&A (Sponsored Event)
DESCRIPTION:Montana Interfaith Power & Light members\, friends\, and climate-concerned are invited to attend this opportunity from Families for a Livable Climate! \nFamilies for a Livable Climate\,  Climate Smart Missoula\, Mountain Mamas\, Moms Clean Air Force Montana\, and Park County Environmental Council are honored to host a virtual discussion\, and Q&A with climate scientist\, author\, and expert climate communicator Katharine Hayhoe. \nWe will use Dr. Hayhoe’s newest book\, Saving Us: A climate scientist’s case for hope and healing in a divided world\, as a jumping off point for the discussion. \nIn Saving Us\, Hayhoe argues that when it comes to changing hearts and minds\, facts are only one part of the equation. We need to find shared values in order to connect our unique identities to collective action. This is not another doomsday narrative about a planet on fire. It is a multilayered look at science\, faith\, and human psychology\, from an icon in her field—recently named chief scientist at The Nature Conservancy. \nSpace is limited at this event; reserve your spot here.
